Animation in Europe in EU Parliament debate on how European Animation Plan can be put into action to nurture talent & help creative SMEs.

The meeting in Brussels gave AE the opportunity to stand for an enhanced regulation and an increase of Europe Creative’s budget beyond 2020 in front of Mrs. Gabriel who runs the DG Connect (in charge of both Europe Creative and media regulation) and members of the European Parliament in charge of culture and media affairs.

Three members of the EU Parliament, the Commissioner of the DG Connect and a few Executives from Europe Creative attended the workshop.

One of the MEP and the Commissioner opened the session by talking about the successes of the European animation industry.

Christian Davin, Tom van Wareven, Moe Honan and Philippe Alessandri presented AE challenges and recommendations for regulation and EU public funding.
